TODAY IS A WHITE DAY

CONGRATS TO CROSS COUNTRY: Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country Team for their amazing performance at the Missouri State Cross County Championships held Saturday in Jefferson City. Despite missing one of their top runners and running one runner short, the boys still found a way to overcome the obstacles facing them and race to a 10th place finish in State. This is the 4th time in the last 9 years that the Cardinals have had a top ten finish at the State Championships. The team found the courage to pass a number of other runners in the last mile to finish in 10th place. Leading the Cardinals was Kain Ellis. Kain ran an inspired race and battled with the very best runners in the State to earn All-State Honors. In addition, as a result of Kain's efforts, he ran the fastest time ever run by a Benton athlete in the State Cross Country Championships. Will Allen, Hunter Gregg, Aaron Shannon, Keegan Cunningham, and Cecil Leivan all ran excellent races and passed a number of runners in the last mile to help Benton to their outstanding finish.
