UPWARD BOUND STUDENTS: Don't forget to call in for the March Saturday Session. Remember you need to attend in order to be eligible for the weekend trip in April. Also, get your summer session contracts in ASAP. You can mail these in, give them to your tutor or bring them to Saturday Session. Don't forget the medical forms need to be notarized.

SENIOR GOODBYES: Senior Goodbyes have been mailed out. If you have not received one at home, please stop by the office to pick one up. They MUST be in by March 20th. Any received after that date will NOT be accepted.

AND A CHILD SHALL LEAD: "And A Child Shall Lead" premieres on the Benton stage March 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th at 7:30 p.m. Don't miss this intensely dramatic play which tells the true story of children in the Holocaust. Admission is only $5.

BENTON TEEN INSTITUTE: Are you ready to have fun and food all night? Benton Teen Institute will be March 5th - 6th from 7PM to 7AM. Registration forms can be picked up and turned into Ms. Sherard in Room A114. They are due to her by TODAY.

ACT DEADLINE: Juniors, listen up! The deadline for the April ACT is Friday, March 5th. All juniors, college bound and non-college bound, should take the ACT. You need a score and the earlier you take it, the better. Fee waivers are available if you are on free/reduced lunch. Please see your counselor for information on registering.

TEEN TECH WEEK CONTEST: In honor of Teen Tech Week, the library will be holding a contest for the entire month of March! Provide your email address and opt in to receive email overdue and hold notices to win! A few lucky students will win $10 iTunes gift cards at the end of the month! See library staff for details.

A+ TUTOR TRAINING: A+ tutor training will be held three times during March. Make plans to attend one of the following training sessions:
  • Wednesday, March 3rd after school
  • Tuesday, March 16th before school
  • Tuesday, March 30th after school
These sessions are held in Mrs. O'Dell's classroom in the library.

CINDERELLA'S CLOSET: If you are needing a Prom Dress and/or accessories the Fairy Godmother is here to help! The 4th annual Cinderella's Closet will be open! The next "Giveaway Day" is Saturday, March 6th, from 9 AM - 1 PM at the YWCA in downtown St. Joseph. You need to be from Northwest Missouri or Northeast Kansas (the St. Joseph area) in order to receive assistance. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Rucker.
