TODAY IS A RED DAY

CONGRATS TO GIRL'S TENNIS: Congratulations to the following girl's tennis members on their accomplishments during the MEC tournament on Wednesday: Cami Pendleton for placing 1st; Cassandra Peek and Jessica Ball for placing 4th and Marcy Withrow for placing 5th.

BOY'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Congratulations to Brody Conroy for winning the St. Joseph News-Press Boy's Athlete of the Week poll for his performance in last week's football game! Brody had 52% of the votes! Pound it for Benton!

PUMPKIN FEST VOLUNTEERS: Any student interested in volunteering at Pumpkin Fest this year, please see Ms. Hochenauer in the counseling center THIS WEEK! Pumpkin Fest is October 8th, 9th, and10th.

HOMECOMING T-SHIRTS: Homecoming T-shirts are sold in Mr. Knight's room. The price is cut in half. Have some memorabilia from the game. The cost for a t-shirt is $5 and we only offer 2XL, M and S. The rest have been sold

NOYES CARNIVAL: Noyes Elementary needs help for their carnival. We need people to volunteer to help out. Seniors you can use this as volunteer hours for graduation. Also student council, this sign up is mandatory for you. The Carnival is Oct. 14th from 5-8. Please sign up in Mr. Knight's room.

TSA MEETING: There will be a TSA meeting in room 108 on Tuesday October 5th after school at 2:45pm. Any student involved in Industrial Technology classes that is interested can attend. It will last approximately 30 minutes.

NWMSU VISIT DAY: Northwest Missouri State University is hosting Computing Visit Day on Saturday, October 9th, 2010. It represents an opportunity for students to learn about Computing at Northwest, and one lucky attendee will win a $1,150 scholarship. For more information or to sign up, please see Ms. Hochenauer in the counseling center.

MWSU DEADLINE: Priority deadline for Admissions is November 15, 2010. In order to meet the priority deadline you must have turned into MWSU a completed application, ACT score, & high school transcript.

TODAY IS A WHITE DAY

CONGRATS TO CROSS COUNTRY: Congratulations to the Cross Country Team for their efforts in the Lafayette Invitational yesterday at Krug Park. The varsity boys ran away with the meet to capture the team championship. The boys were led by the 1st place finish from John Beamon. Will Allen, Hunter Gregg, and Aaron Shannon provided strong support with top ten finishes with Keegan Cunningham completing the scoring with a medal finish. Amber Flint and Lucy Mollet both ran strong races to record top ten medal finishes. Logan Amador earned a medal in the J.V. Boys race. Lauren Johnson led the J.V. girls to a srtong finish with Felicia Holliday, Amber Boller, Lindsey Williams and Sylver Boswell all earning medals. Zack Frederick earned a medal in the freshman boys race.

PUMPKIN FEST VOLUNTEERS: Any student interested in volunteering at Pumpkin Fest this year, please see Ms. Hochenauer in the counseling center THIS WEEK! Pumpkin Fest is October 8th, 9th, and10th.

TODAY IS A WHITE DAY

ACT REGISTRATION REMINDER: Reminder: The last day to sign up for the October 23rd ACT is Friday, September 17th. You can sign up online or go see the Mrs. Wilkinson in the counseling office to get an ACT packet.

SENIOR PICTURE DAY: Senior Class Group Pictures are scheduled for 10:50 am on Monday, Sept. 27th, in the Springer Gym. Packet information is available in the attendance office.

YEARBOOK PHOTOS: The deadline for having photos taken for the yearbook is Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Any student who has not had a yearbook photo taken on Registration or Make-up day can still be included by calling J. McBee Portrait Gallery and scheduling an appointment at their studio. This is the last opportunity you can be photographed for the yearbook. Don't be left out!

CONGRATS TO GIRLS TENNIS: Congratulations to the Girls Tennis Team for the 2nd victory over Cameron yesterday 6-3. Their next match is today (Wed) at Chillicothe at 4:30.

HOMECOMING GAME ADMISSION: Students as you know this Friday is homecoming. The Football gate will be very busy. In order to get everyone in quickly PLEASE have your ID card out and ready to be checked in. Also, if you are a paying student PLEASE have the exact $3 ready.

JOSTENS RING EVENTS: Jostens will be at school next Monday, September 20th, at 8:30 AM to meet with the Junior class. At this time we will go over Jostens class ring program and will hand out information/order packets for students to take home and discuss with their parents. Jostens will return on Friday, September 24th during lunch periods to take class ring orders with the Junior class.

QUIZ BOWL MEETING: Like trivia? Like having the right answer? Then come to our Quiz Bowl informational meeting on Wednesday, September 15th, right after school in the library. Returning players, be sure to attend to discuss tournament/practice schedules.
