TODAY IS A WHITE DAY

CARDINAL WORD OF THE DAY: Hawkshaw (noun) - a detective. Though she ricked being late for an appointment, Amanda could not bring herself to set the crime novel down until hawkshaw had solved the case.

ATTENTION ATHLETES: The Health Express will be here February 11th and 25th to do sports physicals. The cost is $15 cash or check. Come see the nurse, Mrs. Stephenson, for a form and more information.

NHS APPLICATION: Students who are interested in becoming a member of the National Honor Society during their junior or senior year needs to pick up the information from Ms. Sherard in Room A114 or Ms. Bosworth in Room 209. The forms must be completed and returned by Monday, January 31.

RED CROSS HEROES: Any student who is interested in becoming a Hero for the America Red Cross and gaining 30 volunteer hours should contact Ms. Turner in the counseling center or call Kevin Kirby at 816-232-8439. For those of you interested in getting scholarships, this is a great activities resume builder.

There will be a MANDATORY meeting for any girls who plan on playing soccer this spring on FRIDAY, JANUARY 28th during CAMP in the auditorium! In order to attend this meeting you need to stop by room 100 and sign up with Ms. Bosch before or after school, so that you are not counted absent. If your name is not on the list AHEAD of time, you will not be able to attend this meeting. Again, the meeting will be Friday, January 28th and anyone interested is encouraged to come!
