TEACHER ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Perhaps you have heard about the recent social security issue facing nearly every Missouri school district. In short, after a review by the Office of Administration, a federal agency, the Missouri Social Security Administration is reviewing procedures related to contributions by certificated staff to PSRS and Social Security. We know very little about the implications this review has on selected, certificated staff. However, we will try to keep you posted as we are informed. You will see in the letter (at the link below) that each district must appoint an administrator as a contact. Mr. Doug Flowers will be the administrative contact for the SJSD. Please contact your professional organizations to lobby federal officials, especially legislators, to remedy this issue.
See these links to the Missouri Office of Administration for updated information.
