AND A CHILD SHALL LEAD: "And A Child Shall Lead" premieres on the Benton stage March 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th at 7:30 p.m. Don't miss this intensely dramatic play which tells the true story of children in the Holocaust. Admission is only $5.

BENTON TEEN INSTITUTE: Are you ready to have fun and food all night? Benton Teen Institute will be March 5th - 6th from 7PM to 7AM. Registration forms can be picked up and turned into Ms. Sherard in Room A114. They are due to her by March 2nd.

FBLA DISTRICT COMPETITION: FBLA members who are planning on attending the district competition at NWMSU in Maryville must turn in your permission slips by Monday, March 1st. Bus leaves at 6:30 AM from the St. Joseph Public Library by East Hills Mall on Wednesday, March 3rd. We will return around 4 PM.

ACT DEADLINE: Juniors, listen up! The deadline for the April ACT is Friday, March 5th. All juniors, college bound and non-college bound, should take the ACT. You need a score and the earlier you take it, the better. Fee waivers are available if you are on free/reduced lunch. Please see your counselor for information on registering.

Students will sell bags of chocolate Hershey Kisses and take orders for carnations during lunch for you to purchase for your teachers, family, friends and (of course) your sweetheart! SCHOLARSHIP FOR FUTURE TEACHERS: A brand NEW scholarship is available for a senior pursuing a degree to become a certified teacher. See Mrs. Turner in the counseling center for an application. Due date is Thursday, February 11th.

CINDERELLA'S CLOSET: If you are needing a Prom Dress and/or accessories the Fairy Godmother is here to help! The 4th annual Cinderella's Closet will be open the next two weekends. Our "Giveaway Days" are Saturday, February 6th, and Saturday, March 6th, from 9 AM - 1 PM at the YWCA in downtown St. Joseph. The girls need to be from Northwest Missouri or Northeast Kansas (the St. Joseph area) in order to receive assistance. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Rucker.

HAVE A HEART FOR THE HOMELESS: The "Have A Heart" campaign will be held next week, February 8th - 12th. Like last year, we are having a competition between CAMPs for supplies that will help our homeless program. The winning camp will win choice of McDonald's breakfast or Dunkin Donuts! Bring toothpaste, bar soap, wash clothes, towels, etc., and be a winner!

SAY "I CARE ABOUT YOU!": Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, It's that time of year to say "I care about you!!" Students will sell bags of chocolate Hershey Kisses and take orders for carnations during lunch for you to purchase for your teachers, family, friends and (of course) your sweetheart! Kisses and carnations will sell for one dollar, the best bargain in town! Any questions, see Mrs. Rucker.
