CONGRATS TO VOLLEYBALL: Congratulations to the varsity volleyball girls on their hard fought three game victory over Cameron last night. The JV improved greatly from last week but came up a little short in their 3 games last night. Also, a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who traveled to Cameron to support the ladies. You helped level the playing field and it was greatly appreciated. Our next home match is Tuesday night against Maryville with the freshmen beginning at 5:00pm!

CONGRATS TO GIRLS TENNIS: Congratulations to the girl's tennis team on their 5-4 win Thursday at Noyes field. It was a close match with a couple of come from behind wins. Good job girls!

HEISMAN SCHOLARSHIP: The Wendy's Heisman Scholarship is due October 1st. This is an excellent scholarship opportunity for student athletes. Apply online at wendyheisman.com or see Mrs. Turner for more information. This information (along with all other scholarship information) is also posted on Prep HQ.

PREP HQ: If you are a college bound senior, it is imperative that you be registered on Prep HQ and that you check it frequently throughout the year. Prep HQ is where ALL scholarship information is posted. You will surely miss out on an opportunity if you are not using this system. See Mrs. Turner or Mrs. Hitch for assistance ASAP!

PLAY AUDITIONS: Auditions for the all-school play, The Importance of Being Earnest, will take place on Tuesday, September 15th and Wednesday, September 16th at 3:00 in the auditorium. Callbacks will be September 17th. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Schultz in room 102.

ACT PREP COURSE: There is an ACT Prep course scheduled to begin September 19, 2009 at Missouri Western State University. The last day to enroll in the course is TODAY. Please see Mrs. Hitch or Mrs. Turner in the counseling center to sign up.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Hosea Elementary School needs volunteers on the following days. This opportunity would count toward the 10 hours of community service needed before you graduate. Please see Ms. Sherard or Mrs. McAndrews in the A+ Office for more details.

A+ TUTORING TRAINING: A+ Students: 50 hours of volunteer tutoring/mentoring is one of the requirements of the A+ Schools Program. Before you begin working on your tutoring hours, you must attend one tutor training session. Tutor training will be held in Mrs. O'Dell's classroom on the following dates:
  • Tuesday, September 15th 2:45 p.m.
  • Wednesday, September 23rd 7:00 a.m.
LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH: September is Library Card Sign-Up Month! Come into the library anytime during the month of September, show us your St. Joe Public Library OR Rolling Hills Consolidated Library card. You can enter to win prizes in our library card contest drawing!
