DRAMA CLUB: Will have an icebreaker party in the auditorium Friday (September 25th) 6:30-8:00. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information, check the callboard or see Mrs. Schultz in Room 102.

IMPACT FORUM: (Formerly known as Youth Alliance) is Thursday night, September 24th, at 6:30 p.m. at Word of Life Church.
JUNIOR CLASS: Sept 25th during lunch: Josten's will be here to take class ring orders. They will be set up in the lunchroom for all lunch periods. Juniors remember that a $50. deposit is required.
CLASS RINGS: October 2nd before school Josten's will be here to take any last ring orders. They will take orders for class rings from any Junior or Senior that needs to place a ring order.
A+ TUTOR TRAINING SCHEDULE: Tutor training will be held in Mrs. O'Dell's classroom in the Library on the following days and times. If you have any questions, please stop by the A+ Office.

OVERNIGHT LAPTOP CHECKOUT: The library will begin checking out laptops to students for an overnight period starting this week. To check out a laptop, you must do the following:
1. Attend a 10-15 minute laptop training in the library before or after school.
2. Sign a contract along with your parent or guardian agreeing to checkout terms.
Sign up sheets are in the library and training will begin Wednesday, September 23rd. You MUST attend training AND return the contract BEFORE checkout can begin.
WRESTLING: A chili tailgate will be October 2nd at the homecoming game. Chili tailgate will run from 5:00 p.m. to halftime on the north end of the practice field. Tickets are 5 dollars and proceeds will go to BHS wrestling fundraiser. Donations are accepted. Tickets may be purchased from Coach Hubbard.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Hyde School is looking for volunteers for the Hydesta Carnival on Friday, September 25th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. These hours would count as community service hours. If you would like to help, please see Ms. Sherard or Mrs. McAndrews in the A+ Office for details.
LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH: September is Library Card Sign-Up Month! Come into the library anytime during the month of September, show us your St. Joe Public Library OR Rolling Hills Consolidated Library card. You can enter to win prizes in our library card contest drawing!
COTILLION: If you are interested in applying for Cotillion, you must sign up in the counselor's office in order to attend the informational meeting to be held during Thursday's CAMP class in Ms. Talbot's room 111.
MIC-O-SAY SCHOLARSHIP: Any Benton student who is a boy scout member of the Camp Geiger Tribesman of Mic-O-Say is eligible to apply for the $1000 Newman Mic-O-Say scholarship. You do not have to be a senior. Check it out on Prep HQ or see Mrs. Turner for details. Deadline is October 10th.
SENIORS: Have you overcome something traumatic or had a difficult set of circumstances to deal with throughout your high school career? If so, you are an excellent candidate to apply for the Horatio Alger Scholarship. This scholarship has been awarded to Benton students the past. You only need to have a 2.0 GPA to be considered for this $2500 scholarship which is awarded to students who have overcome adversity. See Prep HQ, Mrs. Turner or Mrs Hitch for more information.
HEISMAN SCHOLARSHIP: The Wendy's Heisman Scholarship is due October 1st. This is an excellent scholarship opportunity for student athletes. Apply online at wendyheisman.com or see Mrs. Turner for more information. This information (along with all other scholarship information) is also posted on Prep HQ.
SCHOLARSHIP: The Missouri Cattlemen's Foundation Scholarship is now available in the Counseling Center. The deadline to apply is September 30th. You are eligible to apply for this $1000 scholarship if you a senior who will be majoring in Agriculture or food production in college. See Mrs. Turner or Mrs. Hitch for more details.
PREP HQ: If you are a college bound senior, it is imperative that you be registered on Prep HQ and that you check it frequently throughout the year. Prep HQ is where ALL scholarship information is posted. You will surely miss out on an opportunity if you are not using this system. See Mrs. Turner or Mrs. Hitch for assistance ASAP!
