TODAY IS A WHITE DAY

PSAT TEST SIGN UP: Any junior interested in taking the PSAT should sign up in the counseling center ASAP. This is the only exam that qualifies you for National Merit Scholar. You must take it your junior year to qualify. The test will be given on Saturday, October 16th here at Benton. Cost of the test is $13 and can be paid for on the day of testing.

CHILI TAILGATE: Come enjoy some chili and help raise funds for Benton Wrestling before the home football game on October 15th! Cost is $5 per person, all you can eat, bring the whole family! Tailgate starts at 6 PM.

JOSTEN'S GRADUATION ORDERS: Josten's will be at Benton High School TODAY at 2:10 PM. for a senior class meeting. At this time we will go over Jostens Announcement and Cap and Gown Program and students will receive information/order packets that they will need to take home and discuss with their parents. On Monday, October 25, 2010 during lunch periods we will be in the cafeteria to take graduation product orders with the senior class.

MWSU DEADLINE: Priority deadline for Admissions is November 15, 2010. In order to meet the priority deadline you must have turned into MWSU a completed application, ACT score, & high school transcript.

CHANCELLOR'S SCHOLARSHIP AT MISSOURI S&T: If you are a senior, Have been accepted at Missouri S&T, GPA 3.75 or higher, ACT score 30 or higher, you may qualify! Deadline to apply is October 25, 2010. See your counselor or Ms. Hochenauer for details.

CONSIDERING MIZZOU?: December 1, 2010 is the scholarship priority deadline for Mizzou. Scholarship application for entering Mizzou freshman students can be found online at financialaid.missouri.edu.

KSTATE UNIV ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP: Seniors interested in engineering, GPA 3.60 of higher, ACT score 29 or higher qualify. Must apply for scholarship by November 1, 2010 at www.k-state.edu/admit/apply. See your counselor or Ms. Hochenauer for details.
