MISSOURI UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CHANCELLOR'S SCHOLARSHIP: Requirements: GPA 3.75 or better, ACT score of 30 or better, the application can be downloaded from sfa.mst.edu. Application must be postmarked by Nov 1, 2011.

KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP DAY SEMINAR: Monday, October 10, 2011. Must preregister at www.engg.ksu.edu/scholarshipday by Sept. 30 to attend the Seminar. This seminar is designed to assist students & parents in understanding the scholarship program & application process for seniors interested in engineering. BOOK CLUB MEETING: Want to join a monthly book club? Come to our first meeting in the library next Tuesday, September 13th! Meeting is at 3 PM (or 3:30, we can wait!) until whenever we're done talking about books! This month, bring what you're currently reading! For future months, we'll choose books with a common theme. PICTURE RETAKES: Students, if you have not had your photo take for the yearbook or need to have photos re-taken, contact J. McBee Portrait Gallery to make an appointment. The last day to be photographed and placed in the yearbook is Monday, October 3, 2011. Photos will be taken at their studio on the North Belt Highway. If you have not picked up your package of portraits taken on Registration you may do so at their studio. Contact Number: 364-6877

FBLA MEETING: Next Thursday at 7:05 AM the first FBLA meeting will be held in room 211. See Mr. Turner or Mrs. Talbot if you have questions. This is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills and get involved in the business community.

SOCCER GIRLS LISTEN UP: Any girl interested in playing girls soccer in the Spring will need to attend a VERY short meeting WEDNESDAY - September 14th directly after school in room 106. Room 106 is the foods room directly to your left when you enter the back main doors to the school. The meeting will be short and sweet and so that you can get to your fall sports practices on time! If you have any questions or can not attend the meeting, please see Coach Bosch in room 216.
