CONGRATS TO CROSS COUNTRY: Congratulations to the Cross Country Team for their efforts in the District Championships on Saturday at Kearney. The boys team finished a very solid 4th place led by the outstanding All-District performances from John Beamon and Kain Ellis. Ryno Relford also ran an exceptional race. Keegan Cunningham, Tanner Murphy, and Brandon Parker provided strong support. The girls team also ran well led by the superior runs from Taylor Woodruff and Blayr Bolton to earn All-District Honors. Amber Flint also ran a tremendous race. Heavin Warner, Lauren Johnson, and Eden Woodbury completed the team scoring. John Beamon, Kain Ellis, Taylor Woodruff, and Blayr Bolton will all qualified and will participate in the State Cross Country Championships this Saturday in Jefferson City.

CELL PHONE POLICY MEETING: Any student interested in discussing possible changes to Benton's cell phone policy should plan to meet in the library on Thursday, November 5th, at 3 PM. All students are invited to have input and discussion with the administration prior to any cell phone policy changes.

TURN IT IN FOR THE WIN: For the month of November, any time you check out a book and have NO overdues, you'll be entered to win you choice of book by either Roland Smith or Stephenie Meyer, along with a swag bag of free stuff! Stop in the library for more details! Two winners, one male and one female, will be chosen.

SOFTBALL PIZZA PARTY: The end of year softball pizza party will be at the Sandlot this Thursday Nov. 5th at 7 pm. Pizza an water will be provided for all players. Please sign the list in room 306 if you are attending.

DRAMA CLUB T-SHIRTS: Drama Club shirts have arrived. If you ordered a shirt, please drop by room 102 to pick it up!

ALL-SCHOOL PLAY: The all-school play, "The Importance of Being Earnest" has changed performance dates. Mark your calendars for November 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st, so you don't miss this great show!

BLOOD DRIVE: The Community Blood Center and The Benton High School Student Council will be holding a Blood Drive on Monday, November 2, 2009 During Periods 1, 3, 5, and 7. Please if you have not signed up, do so in Mr. Reigert's room A120.

ACT TEST DATE: Students, sign up now to take the ACT on December 12th. Deadline to register is Friday, November 6th. Please see your counselor or Mrs. Hitch for more information. If you are a Junior and you are college bound, you must take the ACT before the end of your Junior year or you will miss important deadlines next year.
