UMKC SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE: If you are planning to attend UMKC next year, the deadline to apply and be considered for Automatic Freshman scholarships is February 1st.

MISSOURI SHERIFF'S ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP: If you are a senior who is planning to major in criminal justice, please see Prep HQ, Mrs. Turner or Mrs. Hitch to apply for the Missouri Sheriff's Association Scholarship. Deadline is January 18th.

WALMART ASSOCIATE SCHOLARSHIP: Seniors, if you are a Walmart employee or the dependent of a Walmart employee, you may qualify to apply for the Walmart Associate Scholarship. Deadline is January 22nd. See Prep HQ, Mrs. Turner or Mrs. Hitch for more information.

WALTON FAMILY AND WALTON COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP: Seniors, the deadline for the Walton Family and Walton Community Scholarships is January 22nd. You do not have to be a Walmart employee or dependent of a Walmart employee to apply. See Prep HQ, Mrs. Hitch or Mrs Turner for more information.

BENTON WINTER HOMECOMING: Benton's Winter Homecoming is Friday, January 29th! The Benton Boy's Basketball Team will be playing the Platte County Pirates, as this year's theme is "Show up The Pirates." Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors may nominate prince and princess candidates and seniors can nominate king and queen candidates by visiting Mr. Reigert's room before Tuesday, January 19th. Show your school spirit and nominate a candidate today!

TURN IT IN FOR THE WIN CONTEST: Any time you check out a book and have NO overdues this month, you'll be entered to win your choice of either The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins or a book from the Chronicles of Vladmir Tod series by Heather Brewer, plus a bag o' free stuff.
