Basketball Players this weekend, (if your not one of them, you need not read any further)

Do to a complication and mis communication of the delivery of Alumni T-Shirts, we will need to ask all those alumni playing this weekend to bring last years red and white shirts or just a red and white shirt. The reason is that not all of the t-shirts will be handed out and some will be later next week. According to Ed Makos, Booster Club President, he has made it known that all though there is a mis communication involved in this situation, everyone that has signed up will still be getting there shirts, even if it has to be hand delivered.
Concerns with this Alumni Event have occurred every year. Most of the problem is the late sign up for this event. We had 60 -70 people sign up at deadline time. We now have over 128 (which is great) sign up this past week. That is what has caused this problem in t-shirt orders. They were given and mis communicated that 80 was the amount needed and that the company used could not get ordered enough at such short notice for the remainder this week. We have learned a lesson as a booster club.
As the Athletic Director and Coordinator at BHS, we certainly wish to provide our entire community with enjoyment and entertainment, especially our Alumni, however procrastination can not help in many situations toward operating a smooth event. We have always held the alumni tournament for basketball on the last weekend of March. We will continue to host this event every March as long as the Alumni wish to participate. I applaud our Booster Club and all past Boosters that have organized this event and will continue to do so for many years to come. Your dedication has proven vital to the assistance for Benton High School. A Deadline will be a Deadline in the future, and unfortunately we will need to set those deadlines in order to operate the events of all future BHS functions. Ex. B-Club Banquet.
With Communication comes responsibility. At BHS we try to communicate to our entire public in various ways. Please contact myself and Benton High to find out those available options.
For those that know me well, I have had the gift of gab for years, and it looks like this has transferred to the gift of long email. I apologize for this as well and hope everyone will understand.
Please feel free to forward this to others that may not be on my address book.
Remember, bring red and white shirt for this weekend and sorry for the inconvenience.
