TODAY IS A WHITE DAY

CARDINAL WORD OF THE DAY: Spoony (adjective) - 1. silly or foolish. 2. being sentimentally in love. Today is Valentine's Day, when spoony couples spend $50 on a bouquet of roses without blinking an eye.

BENTON CARDINELLE TRYOUTS: Any (8th grade-Junior) girl wanting to tryout for the 2011-2012 Cardinelle Pom squad please stop by Mrs. Ezzell's room 107 on Tues. at 3:10pm to gather information about trying out.

ATTENTION PROM COMMITTEE MEMBERS: We will have our next meeting at 7:00 am next Tuesday in Mrs. Hays' room. We will now be meeting every Tuesday morning from now until prom because we have a lot to do! Please make sure you can attend.

ATTENTION ATHLETES: The Health Express will be here February 25th to do sports physicals. The cost is $15 cash or check. Come see the nurse, Mrs. Stephenson, for a form and more information.

RED CROSS HEROES: Any student who is interested in becoming a Hero for the America Red Cross and gaining 30 volunteer hours should contact Ms. Turner in the counseling center or call Kevin Kirby at 816-232-8439. For those of you interested in getting scholarships, this is a great activities resume builder.

SOPHOMORES: Completed Hillyards applications are due to the counseling center by February 15th.
